Sun, Jun 18th, 2017 6:55:00 pm - This week was a very busy week for Company 38.  It started Father's Day Sunday morning with a injured hiker on the Appalachian Trail.  Company 38 along with mutual aid companies spent 8 hours on getting the injured hiker down the mountain because of her location and the terrain we had to walk to get to her and to get her down.  The next call came in Tuesday evening for another injured hiker at the top of Peters Mountain on the Appalachian Trail.  Company 38 assisted Company 29 with bringing that hiker out of the woods.  The next two calls came Wednesday night during training.  The first one came in around 19:00 hrs. for a older gentlemen that wondering away from his home.  Crews from Company 38, mutual aid companies, PSP, and the Lebanon County Dog Rescue Team searched for hours before finding him in the woods around 2 in the morning.  While the search was going on an accident with injuries and possible ejection happen on Clarks valley Road.  Rescue 49 (Swatara) who was standing by for us responded along with R-37 (Susquehanna Township) responded to the scene.  Crews arrived on scene to find a RV went off Clarks Valley Road and rolled down a bank.  There was one patient with minor injuries out of the vehicle.  Crews had to use there air bags to lift the RV because they were told by the driver that his buddy was with him and no where to be found.  Crews found no one under the RV and later found out that there was no one with the driver.  Crews cleared the scene around 4:00 A.M.  Other minor calls were ran during the week in between the major calls.
